KC hort students win awards in landscape design competition

Three Kishwaukee College horticulture students received awards for their landscape designs at the 2012 Excellence in Landscape Awards Banquet hosted by the Illinois Landscape Contractors Association (ILCA) on March 9 in Elk Grove Village. Robin Larson placed first in Computer Assisted Design (CAD) Landscape Design. Jim Williams and Kim Mauthe took third and fourth place respectively in the Design Competition. Josh Langholf received a $750 scholarship from the ILCA. Pictured at the banquet are, L to R, Kim Mauthe, Horticulture instructor Jim Knoll, and Jim Williams.
