New Location for the Bus Pick-Up and Drop-Off on Campus
The VAC and LOTS buses will be picking-up and dropping-off riders near the south entrance to the new Student Center west of the flag pole. The drop off provides easy access to the student center (stop in for some coffee on your way to class), the main atrium (a quick walk through the beautiful court yard and a stop in the library for some study time) and the Conference Center.
Watch for the opening of the permanent bus waiting area on the north end of the Student Center in FA13!
DeKalb Bus Route (TransVAC)
Kishwaukee College, in cooperation with Voluntary Action Center of DeKalb, provides limited bus transportation between the College and the DeKalb area. One bus arrives on campus by 8 a.m. each day Monday. - Friday, a second bus arrives on campus by 9 a.m. and a third bus arrives at 10 a.m during the Fall and Spring semesters. Students must register for one of these arrival times, but are allowed to choose a departure time of 1, 2, or 3:30 p.m. on a daily basis. There is also an additional departure time at 6:00 pm with only one drop-off location, Annie Glidden at Crane, available Monday through Thursday. Seats are limited on each bus run. A separate evening bus route is available with arrival to campus by 6:00 p.m. and a departure time of 9:20 p.m. Monday - Thursday.
Student riders are charged $120 for a full 16-week semester round trip bus pass. If seats are available, those students needing only one-way bus passes or those who have lost their private means of transportation may apply for the remaining seats. Fees for these passes will be determined by the number of weeks used and the degree of need (one way or round trip).

Students should register for the bus during their regular course registration in the Admissions, Registration & Records Office.
Refunds for Bus fares are: 100% during the first week of classes; 50% during the second week of classes; and no refunds after the second week of classes.

Rochelle Bus Route (LOTS)
Lee-Ogle Transportation System will provide a route between Rochelle and the College. Arriving twice daily, by 8 a.m. and 9 a.m. and have a departure time of 1 p.m., 2:30 p.m. or 4:10 p.m during the Fall and Spring semesters. A map of the fall & spring scheduled stop time in a PDF file.
Also available for the summer semester starting May 20, the LOTS bus arrives on campus at 8:00 a.m. ONLY and returns at 1:00 and 4:10 p.m. A map of the summer schedule stop times in a PDF file.
